The Louisiana Wild Society started simply. It was the dream of a few women wanting to create a better world for their children and those that would come after them. It was an outpouring of love and gratitude for nature that had mothered them from a young age. It was the innate need to get their hands dirty, to connect with something bigger than themselves, the felt joy of being in constant conversation with the world around them, and the willingness to take small steps to meet the needs of the beautiful people among them – all while dreaming of the possibilities of what could happen.
